Emulsifying wax is a necessary ingredient when it comes to making lotions and creams. Everyone has heard the term “water and oil don’t mix”. The use of emulsifying wax will do just that – bind your oils and water together on a molecular level with the end result becoming lotion or soap.

In lotions emulsifying wax it leaves a luxurious soft and powdery feel on the skin. Brilliant in hair products like conditioners and hair packs. It gives superb body to the hair shaft whilst keeping spring and bounce in curls.

The percentage of Emulsifying wax usually begins at 5% of the total formula but can be used at a higher rate to create thicker lotion or soap.
