If you’ve got 15 minutes to spare and a spare jar to hand then you’re ready to create this luxurious and moisturising 'Fresh Pits' DIY deodorant.
As DIY deodorant goes, it is a very simple recipe, but leaves you the flexibility to adapt how you want. For example, if you'd rather not use coconut oil, use another light oil like jojoba, plus a little mango or cocoa butter for firmness.
For odour control, we suggest bicarbonate of soda as it's a kitchen cupboard staple, but if you're sensitive to it, or want to achieve a pH that's more balanced for the skin, then you can substitute magnesium hydroxide powder (often used in food supplement tablets and is available on Amazon).
Time to Make: Prep time: 5 minutes. Make time: 10 minutes

4. Once set this deodorant can be kept out of the fridge.
Natural deodorants have been gaining popularity in recent years as understanding has grown of the potential damage from aluminium-based antiperspirants. For more information on why it's worth making the switch, have a look at our blog on natural deodorant here.
