Making a lip balm is a lovely way to pamper yourself and enjoy the benefits of pure natural ingredients. To delight your nose and increase the soothing, balancing properties of the balm, we’ve added lavender, cedarwood and ylang ylang essential oils. The result is a softening and hydrating balm with smooth texture and divine aroma.
1tbsp of organic unrefined shea butter
1tbsp of organic sweet almond oil
1tbsp beeswax or candelilla wax
8 drops of lavender essential oil
4 drops of cedarwood essential oil
3 drops of ylang ylang essential oil
Time to make: 20 minutes
You will need: heatproof jug, aluminium lip balm tins for your finished product
1. Gently heat the oil, shea butter, and wax over medium heat until melted.
2. Remove from heat and stir in essential oils
3. Pour into lip balm containers and allow to cool before putting lid on.
Store in a cool dark place.
