Lip Gloss
Creating your own nourishing lip gloss at home is a fun and rewarding DIY project. This simple yet effective lip gloss not only adds a pop of shine to your lips but also ensures they stay soft and hydrated throughout the day.
Ingredients
2g of Candelilla Wax
6g of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
12g of Organic Castor Oil
10g of Organic Jojoba Oil
3 drops of Vitamin E Oil
5 drops of Essential Oil of your choice
Time to make: 20 minutes
You will need: heatproof glass bowl, hand mixer, 3x glass rolette bottles or bottles with a wand for your finished product
Method
1. Melt the wax and oils together in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Fill a shallow roasting pan with some water and ice, and place the jar with melted oils into it.
3. Whisk the oils until they’re no longer liquid but soft and semi-opaque.
4. Add 5 drops of essential oil and mix well.
5. You can add a bit of Zao's highlighting or bronzing powder and mix until all is well combined.
6. Transfer the mixture to clean rollette bottles (Tip: a syringe helps greatly here).
