Solid Body Balm
Solid body balm is a versatile skincare product that combines the nourishing properties of traditional lotions with the convenience of a solid form. They are ideal for targeting dry areas such as elbows, knees, and heels, delivering moisture without the need for preservatives or added chemicals. They are easy to apply, mess-free and travel-friendly, not to forget super easy to make.
Ingredients
20ml Organic Jojoba Oil
20g of Candelilla Wax (or beeswax)
20g of Organic Unrefined Shea Butter (or Mango butter)
10 drops of essential oil of your choice
Time to make: 20 minutes
You will need: heatproof glass bowl, a 60ml push up base cardboard tube or silicone moulds for your finished product
Method
1. Put the wax, butter and oil together in a heatproof glass jar, place it in a small saucepan with water and heat over medium heat.
2. Once melted, stir in the essential oils.
3. Pour it into container or mould. Give it about an hour to set before popping out of the mould or pushing out of the cardboard tube.
