These days, it's not easy being a young professional trying to make a good impression in the workplace. So you can imagine the struggle when you pair that with chronically poor oral hygiene. I got a plastic tongue scraper when I was bored in Boots waiting for a prescription a few years back. I finally realised that my old tongue scraper was looking a bit gross and decided to get this new one! It looks odd, but for those who are unfamiliar, you pinch the two ends together, making a narrow shape, and firmly scrape the tongue with the wider looped part. I heard about tongue scraping listening to an interview with an opera singer on Women's Hour, and I don't know how effective it really is at preventing illness etc., but I find it helpful to remove any nasty film that can sometimes appear on my tongue, and also I've definitely felt like my breath is fresher - no real need for mints. I've only had this scraper for a few weeks, I don't know how much the copper will discolour and oxidise over time. This does the job well and looks much nicer than my old plastic one! Hoping it will last for years and years.
