Relax with our super simple DIY honey healing mask recipe

When it comes to our beauty regime we want simplicity, we want natural and we want to know exactly what we're putting onto our skin. And even better if we can give it a home in a reusable jar!

So, with just 4 ingredients, but a whole world of benefits, use this super simple DIY face mask to de-stress and restore your glow. This recipe is brilliant for all skin types but particularly for acne- prone and thirsty dehydrated skin. The 4 simple ingredients it uses all serve a purpose:

Ingredients:

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • honey
  • A squeeze of lemon

The cinnamon has a wonderful antimicrobial action for removing dead skin cells from the skins surface. The nutmeg is an anti-inflammatory and will reduce the appearance of blemishes. The lemon is rich in vitamin C which helps to build collagen and cleanse the skin. Lemon is also great for evening skin tone. The glue of the formula though is honey; locking in goodness and keep out oxidents, honey disinfects the skin and prevents breakouts.

Method:

  1. Mix all four ingredients into a paste.
  2. Apply to the skin and leave on for fifteen minutes.
  3. Gently remove the mask by exfoliating in circular motions.
  4. Finish with a damp cloth to remove any remnants. Try our bamboo flannel for a wonderful, eco-friendly face cloth.
  5. Apply Kutis radiance face serum for that final glow that will stay with you all day.
