27 October: Mindful habits for Self-care and Relaxation Workshop
Stay balanced during party season with this morning workshop from Acala, Be For Change and yoga teacher Ailsa Burns that will help you nurture an at home daily meditation and mindfulness practise. All followed by a sustainably sourced brunch and conversation.
Daily meditation, mindfulness and gratitude practice is an empowering tool for self-care and can help to combat stress and anxiety.
In this workshop led by Ailsa Burns you will:
- Learn how to build a deeply nourishing meditation practice into your daily routine.
- Get practical tips on the different methods of meditation and breathing techniques from yoga that can help in times of stress.
- Take part in a seated Yoga Nidra (or guided meditation). Yoga Nidra leads you to the point between wakefulness and sleep. It is deeply relaxing, rejuvenating and revitalising for the body and mind.
11am: Tour of The Skip Garden. Skip Garden is a green gem in the heart of Kings Cross where food is sustainably grown and served.
11.30am: Enter our Yurt for your workshop and guided Yoga Nidra session.
1-3pm: Follow your practice with a beautiful brunch served by the Skip Garden Kitchen, to nourish and energise your body for the busy season ahead. There will also be the chance to share your experience with the other attendees, as well as browse stalls from local eco-brands:
